Social Media Marketing for Coaching Institutes: An Admissions-Season Playbook
Every year a new batch of students and parents chooses where to study. Here is the playbook we use with Bora Classes, a Pune institute running since 1982.

For coaching institutes, marketing is seasonal but trust is permanent. Parents choose based on reputation and results. Students choose based on whether the place feels right. Your marketing has to speak to both.
We manage the whole brand for Bora Classes, a Pune coaching institute founded in 1982 with five branches and 75,000+ students taught. Here’s the playbook.
1. Talk to students, not at them
Most institute feeds are wall-to-wall admission posters. Students scroll past. Bora’s feed mixes announcements with posts students actually relate to:
- “One bad test, four possible reasons”
- “Not every win appears on a mark sheet”
- “Ask a Bora teacher”
- “A normal day at Bora Classes”
Real classrooms and real teachers are the heroes. Every post still carries branches, phone numbers and a QR code, so interest can turn into an enquiry.

2. Let parents see inside
Parents want to see the classroom before they pay fees. We produced a series of short branch-tour videos so families can see classrooms, teachers and the atmosphere before visiting.
3. Make results the loudest thing you say
Results are your best advertisement. Bora’s annual results billboard and results posts show exact numbers, for example 74 students above 90% and 290 above 80% in 10th SSC and CBSE in 2026. Specific numbers beat “best results in the city”.

4. Connect print, outdoor and online
Admissions still happen through pamphlets, flex banners and billboards. The mistake is treating them separately. At Bora, one team designs everything, so the navy, gold and “Estd. 1982” look the same everywhere, and every print piece carries a QR code and the website.
5. Keep the website as the home base
Every channel points to the website: courses, branches, admissions and results, always up to date. Instagram alone drove 1.2K link clicks to it.
