Taking a 34-year Pune legend to new outlets
Rajendra Pav Bhaji & Juice Bar had the taste and the loyalty. What it didn’t have was a brand that could travel. We built one from scratch, from logo and packaging to photography and social media.

A Pune institution
For 34 years, Rajendra has been one of the names Pune thinks of first for pav bhaji. The recipes have passed through three generations, and the home branch in Rasta Peth has a loyal crowd that has been coming back for decades. For most of that time, word of mouth was all the marketing the business needed.
Then, around the 30-year mark, the family decided to open more outlets. That’s when they discovered what word of mouth can’t do.
The trust that lived at the home branch didn’t travel. With no consistent logo, signage, packaging or online presence, customers couldn’t tell whether a new outlet was the real Rajendra or a lookalike using the name.
Proving branding matters to a 30-year success story
A family that has succeeded for three decades on taste alone has every reason to doubt that logos and Instagram matter. So the first job wasn’t design. It was showing why branding would protect what they had built. We took it on with a promise to prove it through results.
- Customers doubting new outlets
- No visual identity to recognise
- No photography or video of the food
- Almost no social media or Google presence
- A traditional business new to digital
- Expansion depending on borrowed trust
A brand you can recognise at a glance
There was nothing to refresh, so we built everything: food photography and video, a redesigned menu, and a complete identity so every outlet, box and post says “this is Rajendra”.
The logo sets the Devanagari name राजेन्द्र in a warm, bold hand beside a pav bhaji plate. The colours come straight from the dish: earthy brown for tradition and trust, golden butter and saffron for energy.

The branding customers take home
For a food brand, packaging is the branding customers take home. We designed the full range so a Rajendra order is recognisable at the counter, on a delivery bike and on the table.
- Food containers
- Pizza boxes
- Juice glasses
- Menu
- Outlet branding
Reels that people actually watch
Real product photography and Reels became the heart of the social presence. One organic Reel, “Parampara”, reached 237K views and 3.8K likes with no ad spend.
One visual system on every post
Every post carries the logo, the “33 years” badge, the brand colours, branch details and Swiggy / Zomato ordering.

By month three, new faces at the new outlet
The first months went into building the foundation. By month three, the new outlet was drawing people who had never been to Rajendra before, and the brand was reaching far beyond its home neighbourhood.

Taste builds loyalty. A brand makes it travel.
Rajendra already had what most food businesses spend years chasing: a product people love. Our job was to give that product a face customers could recognise anywhere, so every new outlet starts with the trust the home branch earned over 34 years.
